Welcome!  Berkeley Birthing is dedicated to helping mothers and their partners have a supported labor and birth experience.  We support a woman's decision to birth where and how she wants with the support team of her choosing. Birth is a normal, natural life event that does not need to be managed.

 Our Birth Philosophy

• labor should begin on its own
• birth can take place safely at home, in a birth center, or hospital
• birth is normal and natural
• womens bodies know how to birth
• partners have a crucial role in the birth process
• A woman should push in a position that is best for her, not her healthcare provider.
• breastfeeding is a key component of mother-infant attachment.
